The 2025 League of Legends KeSPA (Korean Esports Association) Cup 2025 is about to reach fever pitch with the Final weekend upon us. Only the top three best League of Legends from South Korea remain as they vie for national pride. KeSPA featured Japanese and Vietnamese teams and players but they have already been eliminated from the competition. Recent 2025 Worlds Champions T1 led by superstar Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok. Hanhwa Life had other plans though for the champions as they sent them down to the Lower Bracket behind the MVP performance of jungler Seo ‘Kanavi’ Jin-hyeok.

After getting relegated to the Lower Bracket, T1 outdueled Nongshim Redforce 2-0 to stay in the competition. Faker had another stellar performance for the fan-favorite. T1 are also expecting to get young gun Kim ‘Peyz’ Su-hwan more expereince after replacing the veteran Lee ‘Gumayusi’ Min-hyeong just last month.

While the change to switch out Gumayusi for Peyz is the right choice still remains to be seen. Eight matches is not exactly a great barometer but the 20 year old still has an acceptable 6-2 record with the team so far.

T1 are currently on standby to face the losers of the Dplus and Hanhwa Life Upper Bracket match. The KeSPA Cup 2025 is the last major tournament of the year before the players take a break for the holidays. Winners will take on the lion’s share of 100,000,000 Korean Won (roughly 70,000 USD) and the bragging rights to end the year on a high.
