Ampthill head to The RAG in Champ Rugby looking to build on a “much improved performance” against Hartpury last weekend with Head Coach Dave Ward predicting a battle of the forwards.
Ward makes three changes to the side that ran out on The Olney Field last Saturday.
The same front row start with try-scorer Harrison Courtney at loosehead, the impressive Seb Smith at hooker and James Johnston at tighthead. Ward names a new lock combination with Ollie Mullarkey partnering Justin Mataele in the engine room. The back row is again unchanged from Hartpury – Charlie West on the blindside, vice-captain Charles Rylands on the openside and Tino Mapapalangi steering the pack at number eight.
Only one change in the backs division as Fraser Strachan returns alongside Sione Va’enuku in midfield. Efan Jones partners Louis Grimoldby in the half-backs whilst an unchanged back three of Seva Kava, Sam Kildunne and Josh Barton will look to get the Mob on the front foot.
