Women’s

Brianna Fitzgerald

Fitzgerald became just the 10th player all time in Division III basketball to record a quadruple double and she did so in just three quarters against Potsdam Friday night. She finished with 15 points (6-for-8 shooting) and game-high’s 12 rebounds, 10 assists, and 11 steals. Fitzgerald opened the week with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists against Canton. For the week, she averaged 16 points on 51% shooting, 10 rebounds, seven assists, and five steals per game. 

 

Emily Garvin

Garvin averaged a triple-double last week with 23 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists, to go along with six steals per game. and 5.5 steals.  In Wednesday’s 99-90 road win at Westminster, she had 15 points on 54% shooting (7-of-13) and 10 rebounds, while adding nine assists and two steals.  Garvin followed that performance with a triple-double in Saturday’s overtime loss to Bethany, finishing with 30 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists, narrowly missing a quadruple-double with nine steals.

 

Sofia Tavarez

Tavarez came off the bench to score a game-high 20 points and added four rebounds, three assists, and a steal in a 55-38 win over Tufts last week. Connecticut College broke open a four-point game with a 15-0 run to start the fourth quarter, where the rookie scored or assisted eight points in the spurt to lead the Camels to their first win over the Jumbos since 2015 and their first win at Tufts since 1996.

 

Emily Erickson

Erickson averaged eight rebounds, three blocks, and a steal per game in a pair of conference victories for the Royals last week. She has 21 points and 10 rebounds with three blocks and a steal in a win at Saint Benedict, before accumulating 23 points, five boards, two blocks, and a steal in a critical six-point win against Concordia.

 

Mary Schleusner

Schleusner and the sixth-ranked Generals moved to 17-0 on the season with a pair of wins over Bridgewater (63-67) and Guilford (81-78) this week. Schleusner averaged 26 points per game on 50% shooting (20-40) while averaging 25 rebounds. She also dished out two assists and recorded six blocks and three steals.  Against Bridgewater, Schleusner became the NCAA Division III all-time leading rebounder with her 21 boards while adding 22 points.  At Guilford, Schleusner scored a game-high 29 points on 10-of-17 shooting while grabbing 28 boards with three blocks, a steal, and one assist.

 

Men’s

Jevon Yarbrough

Yarbrough led Hood to a 2-0 week with wins over Alvernia and Eastern.  In the game against Eastern, Yarbrough scored a career-high 42 points to go along with 10 assists and seven rebounds. On the week Yarbrough averaged 33 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists per game.

 

Luke Chicone

Playing just one game this week, Chicone has a typically stellar game, scoring 32 points with nine assists and four rebounds, shooting 62% from the floor and 40% from behind the arc.  Even more impressive, this performance came a few hours after the death of his grandmother, JoAnne Moran, the matriarch of John Carroll basketball.

 

Kabrien Goss

Goss had a sensational week to lead Montclair to a 2-0 record and the last remaining unbeaten in Division III men’s basketball. He averaged 24 points with a .654 field goal percentage (17-of-26) and finished .750 from three (12-for-16). Goss also totaled 11 assists, seven rebounds, and four steals. His highlight game of the week came on Wednesday during a 99-87 win against Rowan, where he finished with a career-high 29 points along with five rebounds and four assists.

 

Logan Landers

Landers led Concordia (WI) to two road conference games this week, scoring 37 at Dominican, with 15 rebounds and six blocks, then posting 18 and 15 against Edgewood.  On the week, Landers averaged 28 points, 15 boards, four blocks, and three assists per game, shooting 50% from the floor.

 

Lucas Lesko

Lesko was nothing short of dominant, leading Wilkes to two home Landmark Conference victories including a 75-45 win over then-ranked Scranton, where he finished with 26 points, seven rebounds, and three assists. Lesko then followed that up with a season-high 34 points and eight rebounds shooting 13-20 from the field in an 86-73 victory against Moravian University. For the week, Lesko averaged 30 points and eight rebounds while shooting a blistering 61% from the floor.
