French esports organization Team Vitality announced Tuesday a new strategic partnership with one of the largest retailers in France, E.Leclerc.
Financial terms of this new deal were not disclosed.
Under the terms of this new strategic partnership, E.Leclerc has been named as Team Vitality’s main partner, with the E.Leclerc logo featured prominently on Team Vitality’s international team jerseys including its League of Legends (LEC, LFL and Rising Bees), Valorant (VCT EMEA), Rocket League, and Chess teams.
Team Vitality and E.Leclerc will also work together on “initiatives focused on accessibility, wellness, and nutrition, while integrating esports culture into E.Leclerc’s retail spaces through tournaments, activations, and immersive experiences, connecting communities across France to competitive gaming,” according to Tuesday’s announcement.
“When we founded Team Vitality in 2013, our dream was to show that esports could become a part of everyday life for all French people,” said Team Vitality CEO and Co-Founder Nicolas Maurer. “Today, we reach this symbolic milestone by partnering with E.Leclerc, the largest retailer in France and a brand beloved by the French public. This is a historic moment, both for Team Vitality and for esports in general, and I am proud to take on this responsibility. It’s an opportunity to highlight a responsible and ambitious vision, centred on our talent and guided by values of care and sharing, making esports accessible to everyone – not just passionate fans.”
E.Leclerc joins other Team Vitality sponsors and partners including Skin.Club, Magnum, Crédit Agricole, Hummel, ASUS ROG, Skin Land, Evnia, Stake, and Secretlab, among others.
