Another year, another attempt by the slime ball Mike Lee to rescind protection of Public Lands, the West’s most sacred places. This time, the spineless scum are going after the beloved Grand Staircase Escalante, one of our favorite areas for cycling! And we need to tell them to piss off. We know you’re tired of this, and so are we, but that’s what they’re banking on.

Lawmakers have proposed rolling back the management plan for Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, which would have serious consequences for outdoor recreation. But more importantly, this geologic wonder is embedded in the cultural identity for many people, going back to the Fremont, who referred to Capitol Reef as the “Sleeping Rainbow.”

Grand Staircase-Escalante has incredible opportunities for hiking, climbing, camping, paddling, and canyoneering. The current management plan, finalized in 2022, was developed through years of public input from Tribes, local communities, and outdoor recreation advocates. It reflects a careful balance between protecting cultural resources, conserving the landscape, and supporting recreation access.

Tell your lawmakers: reject rollbacks and protect Grand Staircase-Escalante. And tell Mike Lee, once again, to fuck off.
