Amit (Baba) Thawal takes initiatives with the help of Mukesh Koli, Vikhrolians’ Amol Mhatre and veteran personality Datta Chavhan
Mumbai: While the entire nation is still in lockdown, the tennis ball cricket world takes an initiative as a social commitment to the battle against pandemic COVID-19 (coronavirus) as it raises Rs. 2,77,187 for the Maharashtra Chief Minister Care Fund. Amit Thawal who is a very known personality in the tennis ball cricket fraternity took the charge with the help of Mukesh Koli, Amol Mhatre, and Datta Chavhan. Their appeal paid off. From Oman, Qatar, Dubai, and some other foreign countries responded to their appeal.
From India, not just the players, various sports brands, team owners, fans, cricket associations contributed to this. The total amount summed Rs. 2,77,187 and the cheque were handed to Shivsena leader Anil Desai who is the member of Rajya Sabha from Mumbai.
