The world No 1 required 80 minutes to dismantle the four-time Grand Slam champion in a high-velocity encounter on Stadium 1. Sabalenka established dominance from the baseline early, utilizing her superior weight of shot to prevent Osaka from finding a rhythm.
The Belarusian saved both break points she faced while converting three of her own, she maintained scoreboard pressure throughout the contest to improve her 2026 record to 14-1.

Sabalenka advances to the last eight where she will play the winner of the match between Canadian Victoria Mboko, the No 10 seed, and American Amanda Anisimova, the No 6 seed.
