Teofimo Lopez already has his eyes on one man after his clash with Shakur Stevenson.
Lopez will defend his WBO super lightweight world title against Stevenson in New York on January 31, live on DAZN.
The 28-year-old is a two-weight world champion and says he plans on moving up three weight divisions to challenge Terence Crawford in a middleweight showdown.
Crawford, who is a close friend of Stevenson, moved up to super middleweight to dethrone Canelo Alvarez and win the undisputed championship in September and Lopez believes he can emulate this by defeating the Omaha man.
“Crawford sent out one of his little guys to do the job, and that’s not going to work,” Lopez told Inside The Ring.
“I’m still going to be here, and if he’s still going to be in boxing, I would love to face him right after.
“He is the man.
“I’m going to get to Crawford later on at 160.
“If Crawford can go up three weight classes to face Canelo Alvarez, why can’t I?”

Stevenson, the reigning WBC lightweight champion, is moving up in weight to challenge the Brooklyn man, with the bout expected to land at Madison Square Garden.
Lopez has not scored a win inside the distance since stopping Pedro Campa in August 2022, but ‘The Takeover’ believes he can end that run against the unbeaten Stevenson, who outpointed William Zepeda in July.

“I don’t see him going the 12 rounds,” he added.
“This is his first time moving to 140.

“A lot of people can say whatever they want about me not knocking them out [over my last five fights], but they don’t try to fight me after feeling my power.
“It’s for a reason. My power carries. You saw it with Arnold Barboza [in my last fight in May].
“I had a good showing. He was too hesitant to commit to punches. It’s going to be a rude awakening for Shakur.”
