Terence Crawford gave his instant reaction to Devin Haney’s stunning performance against Brian Norman Jr.
Three-weight-undisputed world champion, Crawford was impressed by Haney’s victory over Norman Jr on Saturday night.
Months on from his shutout win against Jose Carlos Ramirez ‘The Dream’ returned to action.
Haney’s points win in May received lots of criticism online for his defensive, often too safe performance.
Saturday however, saw a completely different fighter in action, pressuring Norman Jr until the final bell.
Undisputed super middleweight world champion ‘Bud’ was massively impressed by Haney, who dropped Norman Jr in the second round in an almost flawless performance, winning almost every single round. He took to social media to praise the now three-time world champion.
“All that sh*t yall was talking about @Realdevinhaney and he went out there and shut a lot of people up once again.”
Since his no contest bout with Ryan Garcia many have questioned Haney’s ability to take shots.

He shut down any doubt on the weekend, sharing the ring with a serious threat in Norman Jr who has a left hook almost as dangerous if not more than Ryan Garcia.
Norman Jr produced a knockout of the year candidate against Jin Sasaki in June, putting him to sleep in round five.
Haney is now WBO welterweight world champion and will likely look to add more belts to the collection.
Another clash mentioned as a possibility includes Britain’s Conor Benn who is fresh of his also impressive shutout win over long-time rival Chris Eubank Jr, producing a 12-round beatdown of his opponent despite being bettered in April.

Haney didn’t seem too keen on the clash when he spoke to Fight Hub TV about the chances of a Conor Benn fight.
“At the end of the day, he’s nothing. He hasn’t accomplished nothing in the sport of boxing. He can say what he wants to say.
“He’s not on my level.”
‘The Dream’ now sits in a great position once again with so many big fights out there to be made. Another opponent that could make a lot of sense would be Rolly Romero who currently holds the WBA welterweight world title after dropping and beating Haney’s rival Garcia over 12 rounds in May.
