India achieved a historic feat on September 22 when they defeated Bangladesh by 280 runs in Chennai. The team has finally secured their place as a team who has won more Tests than how many they have lost.
The Indian team has become the 7th nation to record more wins than losses in the longest format of the game. India has played 580 Tests till date and have finally gone past their tally of 178 losses for the first time in 92 years.
Team India is the only one to have played a spectacularly more number of Tests as compared to the other teams, especially against Afghanistan.
Australia was the first team to achieve the feat, as they recorded a victory in their inaugural Test match. Afghanistan recorded this milestone in their third Test, while Pakistan achieved it in 16 matches.
England reached this milestone in their 23rd Test, while West Indies is 99 matches short to reach this feat. New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Ireland are still to record more wins than losses in Tests.
