Warasin ‘Tokyogurl’ Naraphat of Thailand was disqualified for cheating at her team’s Arena of Valor match against Vietnam at the SEA Games 2025 on Monday, December 15. The incident was discovered after the game concluded, where Vietnam swept her team in the upper bracket finals.

The Thailand Esports Federation confirmed that Tokyogurl violated section 9.4.3 of the official SEA Games Esports handbook. The player was found to be using unauthorized third-party software or hardware modifications. Suspicious behavior was observed during the match, and the organizers acted quickly to keep the situation under control and ban the player, who was confirmed to have installed third-party software on her phone. Esports Technical Delegate for the SEA Games, Joebert Yu, released the official statement of Tokyogurl’s disqualification.

Apart from the software cheating, Tokyogurl was also seen on camera brandishing a middle finger, adding fuel to the fire. Tokyogurl, the team’s Marksman, was subsequently substituted.

It was never confirmed by the Thailand Esports Federation what kind of software she was using, but netizens think it may either be a Maphack, which allows players to see the whole map without fog of war, and/or a RemoteAccess app, which allows someone else to play in her place.

Thailand was in contention for the SEA Games, up 1-0 against Laos, and still in the running for the gold medal. But in a surprise decision, the Thailand Esports Federation announced it would forfeit and withdraw its Arena of Valor women’s delegation from the SEA Games.
