“That moment was…”Naveen ul haq gives a massive response to Amit Mishra’s statement regarding Kohli vs Naveen saga

Experienced Indian bowler Amit Mishra made some surprising comments in a podcast, discussing some of the most controversial moments in Indian cricket. Mishra talked about the conflict between Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq during the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL), explaining how the Royal Challengers Bangalore player insulted the Lucknow Super Giants bowler. Mishra also mentioned that despite appearances on social media, it might be hard for Naveen to respect Kohli after that IPL event. Recently, Naveen has given his reaction to Mishra’s comments.

“On social media, it looked like their relationship was back on track. But do you believe Naveen will ever respect Kohli again? And what about the young people who witnessed a famous person being disrespectful to others?” Mishra said during Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast “Unplugged.”

Naveen, who is part of the Texas Super Kings in the USA’s Major League Cricket, said again that everything is fine between him and Virat, and the IPL incident was just a temporary outburst.

“That moment during the game was just intense, not anything against each other. Virat Kohli and I have both moved past it. After the ODI World Cup, we hugged and let it go. But social media keeps bringing up old stuff,” Naveen explained in a video posted by the Texas Super Kings.

Mishra, a leading bowler in the Indian Premier League, mentioned that Virat insulted several Lucknow Super Giants players during the IPL 2023 match. This happened after Virat seemed to be upset by Gautam Gambhir’s ‘shushing’ gesture in a previous game in Bengaluru.

“He began insulting our players (in the LSG vs RCB game in Lucknow). He had no issues with Kyle Myers, but he insulted him too. Naveen-ul-Haq was bowling, and Virat insulted him as well. Many problems could have been avoided, but Kohli decided not to,” the former Indian leg-spinner said.
