The Bella Twins Call for More Women’s Matches At WrestleMania 42

The Bella Twins are speaking up about women’s representation at WrestleMania 42, and they’re making it clear they want to see a much bigger presence from the women’s division on WWE’s biggest stage.

With WrestleMania 42 fast approaching at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, WWE Hall of Famers Nikki Bella and Brie Bella addressed the topic on the latest episode of The Nikki & Brie Show. The conversation gained momentum when WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton appeared as a guest and shared her belief that another women’s WrestleMania main event is only a matter of time. Stratton made it clear that she believes the women’s division has the talent and momentum to headline again — but only if everyone continues pushing forward together.

“I fully believe one day, we’re gonna have another women’s main event at WrestleMania. So, us women, we all need to come together. We need to make that happen.”

That statement opened the door for Nikki and Brie Bella to weigh in with their own expectations for this year’s WrestleMania card. Brie started by praising the current state of the women’s division, saying the level of performance has been impossible to ignore.

“For sure. Well, all the women have been killing it lately so, if it’s not happening this ‘Mania, I’ll be shocked and I hope too that there’s just as many –”

Before Brie could finish her thought, Nikki jumped in with a direct suggestion about how many matches women should be getting during WrestleMania weekend.

“And a lot more female matches. I feel like there should be three a night.”

Brie quickly took that idea even further, pushing the number higher while pointing out that the expanded presentation of WrestleMania could make it possible.

“If not four.”

Nikki added that the additional broadcast time tied to WWE’s growing media partnerships could create more room for those matches to happen.

“Especially with added time from ESPN.”

Brie wrapped up the conversation by emphasizing that the women’s division deserves strong representation across the card, especially given how consistently the talent has delivered in recent years.

“So we need to see a lot of women on WrestleMania. For sure.”

The timing of these comments is notable, especially as the Bella Twins continue their own pursuit of championship gold. Nikki and Brie are currently chasing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship and are scheduled to face Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss on the March 27 episode of SmackDown, adding even more relevance to their push for increased women’s visibility at WrestleMania.

With WrestleMania 42 shaping up to be one of WWE’s biggest events yet, conversations like this highlight the ongoing push for greater representation in the women’s division. The Bellas’ message is simple — if the women continue delivering at the level they have, the card should reflect it with more matches and more spotlight.

Do you think WrestleMania 42 should feature three or four women’s matches per night, or is the current balance on the card working just fine? Share your thoughts and feedback below.
