The Crew Motorfest Season 9 starts 4th March, adds new island and NASCAR

A new trailer provides a first look at NASCAR racing in The Crew Motorfest Season 9.

The next season of The Crew Motorfest is set to start in a few weeks on 4th March.

Showcased in a trailer, Season 9 will expand the open world with a new stunt-filled Playground Island. Accessible via a connecting bridge, it will feature an array of high-altitude Hot Wheels-style magnetic tracks and loops. This will be the second expansion following the Maui island in 2024.

The Playground Island will serve as the foundation for Track Forge, a new mode where players can create outlandish circuits by connecting track pieces before adding checkpoints and props. Speaking to Traxion last year, developer Ivory Tower revealed it’s “the biggest feature ever developed for the franchise.”

“It’s a very deep and powerful system,” Gameplay Director Paul Narducci explained. “It’s designed to let players create something very easily, so you don’t have to spend ten hours to create your first lap.”

First look at NASCAR in The Crew Motorfest

The trailer also provides a first look at NASCAR, a new racing discipline set to feature in a new playlist. A Ford Mustang Dark Horse, Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and Toyota Camry XSE from the Next Gen Cup Series are shown, each featuring real-world liveries that appear to be 2025 spec.

Notably, this means The Crew Motorfest will be the only game to feature licensed cars from the oval racing series outside of iRacing’s official NASCAR game series.

Pit stops will also provide an additional strategic element, along with slipstreaming, while the driving physics have been modified specifically for NASCAR racing.

Alongside NASCAR, Season 9 will introduce another vehicle type: RC cars. Featuring in an additional playlist, their smaller size makes them nimble to drive, with a jump button that lets players perform mid-air stunts and access new areas of the map.

Since they aren’t shown in the trailer, the RC car playlist will likely be part of the mid-season update in a few months. Also expect new, yet-to-be-announced cars to be added to the Year 3 Pass.

The Crew Motorfest Season 9 release date

The Crew Motorfest Season 9 starts on 4th March, 2026. It will last four months before Season 10 begins on 1st July.
