On AEW Dynamite tonight, we see the debut of a new tag team in the division, as well as put the AEW Women’s World Championship on the line.
The IInspiration is set to make their long-awaited AEW Dynamite debut and are set to face off against The Brawling Birds. Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor have been trying to make a name for themselves within the AEW Women’s tag team division and are making their way towards the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships. But with an arguably polished resume, Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee are ready to show AEW what they’ve got.
Unfortunately, The IInspiration doesn’t give the AEW crowd any inspiration as The Brawling Birds take them out by Killing Two Birds with One Stone. The Brawling Birds are now 4-0 as a tag team, remaining undefeated.
Thunder Rosa has made quite a comeback in recent weeks and is ready to take on the AEW Women’s World Champion, Thekla, for the title. Former champion, Kris Statlander, has warned Rosa countless times not to underestimate Thekla. But Rosa is ready to take the fight to Thekla.
Rosa takes the first shot, but “The Toxic Spider” boots her in the head and stomps through her right onto the floor.
The challenger can’t seem to find any steam here, as Thekla locks in a Tarantula Hold in the corner. Rosa tries to fight back, but as they head up to the top rope, she lands hard on the canvas with a Spider Suplex as Thekla continues to play with her.
Thekla has Rosa exactly where she wants her and hits a spear, followed by two continuous stomps to retain her title.
Kris Statlander arrives to confront The Triangle of Madness, but security tries to put a stop to it. Thekla uses this opportunity to attack Rosa from behind, as Statlander fights through security to save her.
Also, it looks like “Timeless” Toni Storm has a bone to pick with The Dogs and the Death Riders as they’ve hurt her citrusy partner, Orange Cassidy.
