The wrestling world and the entire city of Chicago are still mourning the death of Larry the Dog from this past November. The dog of CM Punk and AJ Lee will forever be immortalized in T-shirts and action figures. However, the legacy of Larry will also live on through charitable work. AJ Lee and CM Punk are adamant about remembering their pup by supporting local animal shelters in Larry Talbot’s name, including PAWS Chicago. PAWS is a no-kill shelter that wouldn’t give up on finding Larry the right family. This nonprofit is where CM Punk and AJ Lee met Larry. Now, a Chicago pizzeria and local celebrities are paying it forward with the Larry Pizza.
Piece Pizzeria & Brewery Hosts 4th Annual Slice to Meet You
You can’t get more Chicago than pizza and CM Punk. So, it only makes sense to combine the two when the world is trying to remember Chicago’s uncrowned mascot, Larry Talbot.
For the past four years, Piece Pizzeria & Brewery has collaborated with other local chefs and personalities to create limited edition pizzas where partial proceeds go to PAWS Chicago. Last year, Piece Pizzeria & Brewery generated over $106,000 for the no-kill animal shelter. This year, wrestling’s favorite four-legged pup will help raise money for animals in need as The Larry Pizza comes to Piece.
The Larry Pizza Kicks Off Piece Pizzeria & Brewery Slice to Meet You Season
This January, Piece Pizzeria has partnered with CM Punk to create The Larry. This meat-heavy pizza is $35, but with every sale, Piece Pizzeria & Brewery and six donors will make a $70 donation to PAWS.
The pizza joint announced the new ‘za in honor of the four-legged Wolf-Man lookalike:

The Larry will be featured all month long. On February 8th, Piece will launch a new limited-edition pizza in collaboration with The Weiner’s Circle. Chef Rick Bayless will launch his collaboration with Piece on March 9th.
AJ Lee Remembers Larry
We are almost halfway through Larry’s pizza month at Piece. It was the perfect time for the pup’s mom to speak about his loss.

AJ Lee promoted to adopt and don’t shop. According to the ASPCA, about 5.8 million companion animals are in shelters across the nation. These animals need loving homes. Consider adopting a shelter animal over purchasing one from a breeder to help reduce the number of companion animals without homes.
