The Miz Still Watches His WWE Matches For An Important Reason

The Miz has spent more than two decades in WWE and achieved almost everything possible in the company.

He became the first-ever two-time Grand Slam Champion, headlined WrestleMania, starred in movies, and built a successful reality TV career. Since debuting in 2004, he has remained a constant presence on WWE programming.

These days, he often works alongside rising stars and helps guide them on television. Even with all that experience, The Miz says he still watches his own matches. While speaking on the Six Feet Under, the former WWE Champion explained why reviewing his past work is still important to him.

He said, “I try to watch as much as I possibly can. Just to see, like, it’s different than it was five years ago, 10 years ago. When you look at when I first came in to where it is now it’s so different. It’s a different pace, the style is still the same. I feel like you can still do the same style, but it’s different.”

He added that he enjoys breaking down his performances and learning from them. “I enjoy critiquing myself. A lot of people don’t even like watching their matches. I’m like how are you gonna learn if you’re not watching your matches?”

“I watch everything and nitpick, to this day. I’m 23 years in, I will still look at my footing and go, ‘You’re taking extra steps there, could have done this better, you didn’t have to take that bump.” [H/T: Wresltetalk]
