Milk crates are great in a pinch when you want to add storage to your bike. But now, there is a better solution. The Stowe Trunk was officially launched back in November in both Los Angeles and Denver. But Stowe Founders, Connie and Paige, are now offering the Stowe Trunk online to all of the U.S.

The Stowe Trunk is a waterproof and lockable storage container that attaches to the rear rack of your bicycle. It’s actually said to be “universally attachable with two patents pending”. It’s an interesting product for sure. It claims to be “theft-proof”, so I would imagine the locking mechanism would have to be pretty sturdy.

Their website doesn’t specify the capacity of the truck as far as how many liters it holds. But, it does mention that “it’s big enough to hold a full grocery bag and more”. I know, that’s pretty vague, but judging by the looks of it, the Stowe Trunk does look like it can hold quite a bit.

The dimensions of the Stowe Trunk are 16.5″ x 11″ x 13.5″. And it sports a claimed weight of 7.88 lbs. It’s made of partially recycled polycarbonate and ABS. It is equipped with stainless hardware and a built-in combination lock, which eliminates the need to carry an extra key.
