Experienced Mechanic
Cycle Centre Congleton are looking to recruit an experienced mechanic to work in our Congleton retail store. We’re looking for somebody that is enthusiastic about cycling, has good attention to detail with experience working on bikes within the industry essential. Born out of an independent cycle shop in Congleton, Cyclestore.co.uk has grown to become a multi-million pound online retailer of over 25,000 product ranges, shipping orders globally.
We have a small team in store, you will work alongside one other mechanic and four sales staff. You will have a dedicated workbench and Park Tools electric power lift stand. We have a relaxed work environment with casual dress, and a free lunch on Friday!
Requirements for this role include to be able to work on all models of bike, from vintage to modern, including wheel building. In depth knowledge of all mechanical and electrical gears. In depth knowledge of all hydraulic brake systems. In depth knowledge of E bikes, particularly Specialized and preferably Shimano and Giant/ Yamaha. Fault finding and diagnosis a must. Ability to work with the customer from booking in, to handover of custom build or service/repair. Keep a clean tidy and organized work area. Take responsibility for the booking in of service and repair work. To work with and take direction from the management team and shop retail team. Make customer service a top priority.
Head of Aftersales and Compliance
Supporting our clients to make sure they have everything they need to keep our products on the road (or off-road), in the market, whilst enhancing our brand image through building trust with our clients and supply chain by ensuring our products are compliant for the market that they are being sold into.
Objectives of this role include establishing and maintaining relationships with current and new trade partners, providing ongoing support for product enquiries and warranty issues. Managing the warranty claims processes and making improvements where required. Manage the warranty and aftersales team. Act as one of the crucial links between key suppliers, trade partners and the business. Providing feedback and improvement suggestions on product design and quality to the Head of Product. Creation and distribution of product technical documentation. Enhancing the trust our partners have with our business. Understanding compliance for our product categories in our key markets. Ensure our product comply with all regulatory requirements for the market our products are being sold in to, with the reports and certifications to prove it. Handling all product testing.
Mechanic
Tweed Valley Bikes are looking for a full-time mechanic to join our fast paced, highly motivated team, to carry out high end customer bike service jobs including in house suspension servicing and bike builds for stock and sale based between our two workshop locations in the Tweed Valley. The successful candidate will be a dedicated rider who has previous experience working as a bike mechanic and/or suspension technician.
We’re looking for a reliable and flexible individual who has a willingness to adapt to a fast-paced changing environment and is able to work with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate initiative and produce high quality mechanical work within tight timescales.
Quality is at the forefront of what we do, as such we’d like to recruit someone who’s got a keen eye for detail and can work methodically. Strong written and verbal communication, computer literacy and organisational skills are a must.
Although most of this role is workshop based, working with the wider Tweed Valley Bikes team to suit the needs of the business is essential.
Sales Advisor
We are a busy, independently owned Specialized brand store in the Cheshire city of Chester. We are looking to recruit a full-time Sales Advisor to complement our existing team. We deal with customers looking for all types of bicycles, who expect the highest levels of service. We also run an active service centre, offering repair and maintenance options for most brands of bikes.
We are looking for an individual with the following qualities, to give our customers the best experience: Enjoy face to face selling, confident communicator, good attention to detail, sssured multitasker, helpful, approachable attitude, have experience in delivering excellent customer service, work well as part of a team, flexible, proactive, and a can-do attitude, good cycling product knowledge and an interest in cycling, basic computer literacy and previous bicycle industry experience is preferred, however, is not essential for this role.
Duties for this role will include actively pursuing all sales opportunities, providing honest advice, tailored to a customer’s individual needs. Maintaining a tidy, smart, safe and well merchandised shop floor. Using EPOS systems to process sales from start to completion. Providing excellent levels of customer service whilst dealing with customer questions, queries and issues. Working as part of a team, to complete daily and weekly tasks.
Bike Specialist

This is a dynamic, customer-facing role reporting to the owner/manager. You will be instrumental in delivering the excellent, memorable experience our customers expect. We seek someone with genuine enthusiasm for cycling and the confidence to discuss high-quality products from Giant, Liv, Cadex, and Momentum, alongside our complementary brands. We offer customers a bespoke process to help ensure that customers are matched to a good choice of bike, optimised for comfort and performance.
