Yes, it’s been long confirmed and yes there have been renders, but here it is on track.
PC and console racing simulation Rennsport will soon start releasing its first paid-for DLC, focusing on retro machines, and it starts with Porsche 911 GT1 ’98.
This was confirmed for inclusion last year and some renders were shown, but now the latest stills show the car in-game and on-track (Road Atlanta to be more specific).
The 1998-spec was the third and final iteration of the German marque’s GT1 programme, and during that season’s FIA GT Championship, Mercedes-Benz won every single race. Such capitulation for Porsche was humbling.

However, most people don’t remember that. What they remember is this car winning that year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans instead, with Laurent Aïello, Allan McNish and Stéphane Ortelli behind the wheel.
The 991 GT1 will be joined by Circuit de la Sarthe (Le Mans), the aforementioned Mercedes-Benz CLK LM and the Group C Porsche 956 in the ‘Endurance Classics Part 1’ pack. Aside from the Porsche, however, the other two cars and the track have not yet been showcased.
The DLC was originally slated for a late 2025 release, but was delayed so the development team could “focus on fixing issues”. It will instead release in “early March” alongside the free addition of the Hyundai Vision 74, two alternative track layouts and a Kuala Lumpur Street Circuit.

Pricing and the definitive release date are also unknown, although those who purchased the Deluxe Edition will receive this DLC pack for no further charge.
