TNA iMPACT Results (4/9/26): Live Match Updates and Highlights

Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt handled commentary.

Daria Rae and Santino Marella were in the ring with a table set up. Rae and Marella argued back and forth before introducing the next segment. Marella tried to introduce Eddie Edwards, but Rae cut him off and brought him out herself. The same thing happened when Mike Santana was introduced.

Edwards grabbed a mic and said he and Santana took similar paths in TNA, but when things got tough, Edwards stayed while Santana left for greener pastures. He said he stuck around even when TNA was being laughed at, while Santana went to stand in the shadow of the Inner Circle before eventually returning.

Santana responded by saying he came back because his heart was still in TNA. He said Edwards stayed because he was comfortable, while Santana left to test himself. Santana claimed he turned down more money than Edwards would ever make so he could return and help rebuild TNA. He called Edwards the foundation, but said he came back with a sledgehammer to rebuild things for the fans and his family.

Edwards tried to provoke Santana by bringing up his daughter, but Santana didn’t take the bait. Instead, he fired back by mentioning Edwards’ wife and Moose. Cedric Alexander then ran in and attacked Santana from behind, but Leon Slater rushed out to make the save. The babyfaces stood tall, with Slater diving over the ringpost onto Edwards and Alexander.

AJ Francis said he turned down an offer to play for the Cleveland Browns so he could learn how to wrestle for free. He also said he hates Nic Nemeth, claiming Nemeth has taken more opportunities from him than he cares to talk about. Francis noted that he attacked Nemeth at Sacrifice and plans to finish the job at Rebellion.

Dani Luna vs. Jada Stone

Tasha Steelz joined the commentary team for the match. Stone hit Luna with a rana that sent her to the floor, then followed up with a dive outside. She got distracted by Steelz at commentary, which allowed Luna to attack her from behind. Luna then hit a brutal powerbomb on the ring apron. Luna knocked Stone back to the floor with a dropkick. She bent Stone’s arms back with a surfboard hold while Steelz stayed active on commentary.

Luna then bent Stone’s leg back until her toes touched the back of her head and followed it up with a torture rack. Stone managed to escape, but ran right into a big boot from Luna.

Luna missed a dive in the corner but clobbered Stone with a clothesline from behind. Stone escaped a back suplex and hit a rana, then missed a handspring in the corner but connected with an enziguri. Stone followed up with a split-legged moonsault for a near fall.

Luna answered with a backbreaker and turned it into a sit-out powerbomb for a near fall. Stone rolled Luna up with a victory roll for another near fall, but Luna dropped her with a forearm. Stone came back with a head scissors into the turnbuckles and then hit what looked like a Sky Twister Press to pick up the win.

Winner: Jada Stone pinned Dani Luna

After the match, Steelz attacked Stone from behind and laid her out with a clothesline.

Elijah was shown walking through a graveyard in New Orleans. A young kid led him to his father’s grave, but it turned out to be a setup as Frankie Kazarian attacked Elijah with a stone. After the attack, Kazarian stiffed the kid and didn’t pay him.

Terrell came out to thank the fans and her family for supporting her. She said her career didn’t end on her terms and that she’s been watching TNA grow since she left. Terrell mentioned seeing Mickie James return to the Knockouts Division and then watching Ash drag Mickie’s name through the mud.

That brought out the rest of the Elegance Brand, who mocked Terrell and accused her of trying to ride their success. The Concierge pointed out that Terrell was alone, and the big screen showed ODB and Mickie James laid out backstage.

The Elegance Brand then attacked Terrell four-on-one and even beat down security that tried to help. Mr. Elegance slammed Terrell, and the Knockouts Champions finished the attack by hitting her with Nip and Tuck.

Santino finally had enough of Stacks and Arianna Grace and slapped Stacks. Stacks and Grace ran into the women’s locker room to hide, which made Marella hesitate at first. Indi Hartwell then showed up and gave him the all clear to go in. They entered the locker room, and sounds of a fight were heard behind the door. After a moment, Marella and Hartwell came back out victorious.

BDE vs. Frankie Kazarian

Ryan Nemeth was on commentary for the match and oddly took shots at his own brother.

Kazarian outwrestled BDE early on. BDE fired back with a lung blower and a blockbuster off the middle rope. He escaped a chickenwing attempt and went for a springboard cutter, but Kazarian caught him with a backstabber and then locked in the chickenwing to force the submission.

Winner: Kazarian won by submission.

After the match, Nemeth attacked BDE. The lights went out, and when they came back on, Elijah appeared and choked Kazarian with a towel before chasing him off.

Elayna Black vs. Myla Grace

Grace got a near fall with a twisting suplex. Black then hit her finisher, The Blackout, a jumping neckbreaker, to win the match.

Winner: Black pinned Grace

Daria Rae told Santino Marella that he was suspended indefinitely for assaulting talent and entering the women’s locker room. Indi Hartwell tried to stand up for Marella, but after accidentally bumping into Rae, Rae called it assault and suspended her too.

Miller brought out Ricky Sosa and officially welcomed him to TNA Wrestling. Miller asked what his goals were, but before Sosa could answer, Eric Young came out and grabbed the mic. Young called Sosa a pretender and a wannabe, saying he’s the one who runs things and that everything flows through him. He also ripped on the crowd for doing Sosa’s “Bang! Bang! Sosa! Sosa!” chant.

Young then hit Sosa with a sucker punch, and they brawled into the ring. Sosa fought back by backdropping his way out of a piledriver attempt and hitting a pair of running forearms in the corner. But while celebrating, Young caught him with a forearm and then dropped him with a piledriver. Sosa sold the piledriver hard, bouncing high off the mat.

James Mitchell was shown as Tessa’s concierge in the undead realm. In another part of the realm, Rosemary explained to Mara Sade that their mission was to collect sins. Allie then appeared, surprising everyone since she was believed to be dead. Mila Moore was also shown wandering around. Rosemary sent Allie and Sade off on a side quest, while Victoria Crawford was seen walking through a hallway filled with severed heads. Screaming could be heard as Rosemary listened to a radio.

Rosemary’s eyes then turned black as she appeared to communicate telepathically with Mila Moore. She was suddenly grabbed by Havoc. Meanwhile, James Mitchell finished singing “My Way” before meeting up with Rosemary. Rosemary then led Mitchell to Abyss, ending the segment with a “To Be Continued…” message.

Mustafa Ali was in the crowd with Order 4 but didn’t address the fans. Instead, he called out International Champion Trey Miguel. Miguel came to the ring, and Ali apologized for the misunderstandings between them, especially what happened with Jada Stone. Ali said he had no problem with Miguel being champion, but he did have a problem with TNA fans and their support of “second chance champions.”

Ali said TNA champions are all screwups who needed second chances, and fans cheer them on for it. He said he isn’t a champion in TNA because he doesn’t mess up, doesn’t have a shady past, doesn’t get arrested, and doesn’t have substance abuse issues. He even bragged that he’s never had a parking ticket, claiming he’s too good to be a champion in TNA.

Miguel grabbed the mic and called Ali a scumbag. He said TNA welcomed him back because he treated the company like family, but Ali fired back by saying Miguel’s family isn’t there anymore.

Ali then told Order 4 to leave so he could fight Miguel one-on-one, but once Miguel got the upper hand, Order 4 jumped back in. Agent Zero tried to chokeslam Miguel, but Moose ran out to make the save. Ali took a superkick from Miguel and a spear from Moose. Miguel went to the top rope to dive on Ali, but the Great Hands pulled him out of the ring before he could jump.

TNA World Tag Team Championships – Tables Match: The Hardys (c) vs. The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch)

The fight started on the floor. The rules were that a team had to offensively drive both opponents through tables to win. Hannifan called this a “Hardys match,” saying tables matches are their specialty.

The Hardys isolated Vincent in the ring and hit a legdrop on him. They then went to the floor and whipped Dutch into the ring steps. Back in the ring, they set Vincent up for a top rope elbow through a table, but Vincent moved, and Hardy crashed through the table on his own, so it didn’t count.

With Matt down, Vincent and Dutch double-teamed Jeff. They tried to whip Jeff into a table set up in the corner, but Jeff stopped short to avoid going through it. Matt returned, and the Hardys fought back by slamming Vincent’s and Dutch’s heads into the turnbuckles. They followed that with Poetry in Motion in opposite corners.

The fight spilled back to the floor, where Jeff sent Dutch into and over the steel steps. Matt then sent Vincent headfirst into the announce table, with commentary noting that Vincent may have taken a bottle to the eye during the impact.

Jeff grabbed a broom from underneath the ring and hit Vincent with it. Matt set Dutch on a table while Jeff started climbing a ladder, but Vincent pulled Jeff down and hit a DDT on the floor. Vincent then smashed the ladder with a chair so it couldn’t be climbed.

Vincent and Dutch tried to suplex the Hardys through tables on the floor, but Matt and Jeff escaped. Dutch placed Jeff on a table outside and climbed to the middle rope, but Matt stopped him, and the Hardys slammed Dutch through the table/

Second Fall

Vincent quickly answered by putting Matt through a table at 11:50.

Final Fall

Vincent missed a swanton in the ring and crashed to the floor. Matt hit Vincent with a Twist of Fate on the floor and set him on a table. Jeff then climbed to the top rope and hit a Swanton Bomb through the table to win the match.

Winners: The Hardys retained the World Tag Team Titles.

After the match, Carlos Silva handed the titles to The Hardys. It was then announced that they will face Bear Bronson and Brian Myers at Rebellion. As the Hardys celebrated, Dutch attacked again and sent Jeff through a table set up in the corner.
