19. Iyo Sky vs. Kairi Sane — Raw (October 6, 2025)
Iyo and Kairi are longtime allies, appearing together as a team worldwide in different promotions. But with Asuka as the puppet master, this year they finally became opponents. Their second meeting across the ring in WWE (and first in singles) was a strong, fiery, character-driven match that showcased a special kind of chemistry you only get from two joshi wrestlers. They fought hard and they fought fast, trading smart counters and wily strikes throughout. Kairi made jaws drop with a brutal Alabama Slam on the ring apron. And with Asuka’s help, Kairi was able to score possibly her biggest win on the main roster to date as her proud partner watched on.
18. Blake Monroe vs. Jordynne Grace — NXT Heatwave
Blake Monroe arrived in WWE a little softer and a little more directionless than she was in AEW. But questions about whether she could live up to her potential started to fade with this grudge match against Jordynne Grace at Battleground. The two of them threw down — hard strikes and rough edges from beginning to end — and Blake emerged as a cunning heel while still highlighting Grace’s power. Blake’s crafty use of the exposed turnbuckle fit her new character perfectly, and Jordynne still managed to look powerful in defeat. Women who gained experience in different promotions like Blake and Jordynne brought a real edge to WWE in 2025, and this match is a perfect example of that.
17. Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bayley — Women’s Intercontinental Championship — Raw (June 23, 2025)
A strong, old-school wrestling match between two of the greatest to ever step in the ring. When any combination of the Four Horsewomen meet, it feels special, and this match might be Becky and Bayley’s best singles outing from a technical standpoint. The physicality was on point, the intensity never dipped, and the storytelling details were spot-on. Bayley wearing the gear she had planned for Mania before Becky stole her opportunity added a great emotional layer, and Becky targeting the arm she previously injured tied the whole thing together. Not to mention the fact that this Horsewoman clash was for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, giving the new title instant prestige and legitimacy. The DQ finish may have been a buzzkill, but it set the stage perfectly for the fantastic triple threat between Becky, Bayley, and Lyra at Evolution…
