2. Sanath Jayasuriya (Sri Lanka) – 1770 boundaries
The Sri Lankan is one of the most explosive batters to ever feature in one-day cricket. Along with being a fearless batter, he was also a great spinner, taking over 300 wickets in the format as well. 270 of his boundaries in the ODI format came in the form of maximums, while the rest of his 1500 boundaries were fours.
3. Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka) – 1473 boundaries
The Sri Lankan left-handed batter is among the finest batters to ever grace the game. Sangakkara very much preferred hitting fours rather than risking his wicket by looking for a six. Only 88 of his boundaries in the ODI format came in the form of sixes while the rest of his 1385 boundaries were all fours.
4. Chris Gayle (West Indies) – 1459 boundaries
The West Indian is undoubtedly the most explosive batter on the list. He is also the batter with the highest percentage of boundaries in comparison to the other players on this list. 331 of his boundaries in the ODI format came in the form of maximums while the rest of his 1128 boundaries were fours.
5. Virat Kohli (India) – 1453 boundaries
Kohli has carried the Indian team to victory on numerous occasions through his amazing batting. He is the one on whom the team relies on in crunch situations. He is also an amazing finisher who is known to bat well during big run-chases. 151 of his boundaries so far in the ODI format came in the form of sixes while the rest of his 1302 boundaries were fours.
