The 38-year-old won the Player of the Series award in India’s 2-match Test series against Bangladesh in October of this year. The India spinner has taken a total of 109 scalps with bowled in Test cricket. Second to him again is Kumble with 95 Test dismissals in the same way. As a whole, Ashwin is the bowler with fourth-most Test wickets by bowled only behind Muttiah Muralitharan, James Anderson and Shane Warne.
