1. Shikhar Dhawan – 187 vs Australia, 2013

The left-hander announced himself to the world with this fantastic Test knock against Australia on debut. With this knock, he also broke the record for the fastest Test century at that time. 2. Rohit Sharma – 177 vs West Indies, 2013

With the Indian top-order completely collapsing, Rohit, who was on his Test debut came to their rescue. His incredible 280-run partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin carried the Men in Blue to a mammoth total of 453. After getting bowled out for 234 runs in the first innings, the West Indian batters would again succumb to the impressive Indian bowlers as they would get bowled out for 168 in the second innings. Though Viswanath was dismissed on a duck during the first innings, he would go on to show incredible maturity and remain unbeaten on 137 runs in the second innings. This knock would carry India to a total of 312/7 before they declared and set up a target of 285 for the Aussies. The match would get drawn as Australia would finish at the score of 95/0 on the final day of the Test match.

5. Prithvi Shaw – 134 vs West Indies, 2018

The debutant opened the batting and gave India a fantastic start. His 206-run stand with Cheteshwar Pujara got the Men in Blue into a strong position before tons from Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja took India to a humongous total of 649/9 before they declared. In reply, the Windies would not get going at all and would get bowled out for 181 in the first innings and for 196 in the second innings.
