Triple H Accused of Stealing Spotlight From Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi

Vince Russo is calling out Triple H — and he’s accusing him of putting himself in the spotlight during Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi’s segment on RAW this week.

During the March 30 episode of WWE RAW at Madison Square Garden, WWE set up a major confrontation between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi. The segment had everything — Paul Heyman on the mic, Femi tearing through security, and a near brawl that looked ready to explode. Then Triple H walked out — and according to Russo, that’s where things went sideways. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Russo didn’t mince words, claiming Triple H’s involvement shifted the focus away from Lesnar and Femi and onto himself.

“At MSG, you’ve got everything going, but then Triple H comes out, and everybody else is phony—but you know these guys really hate each other when ‘The Game’ comes out. But really, it’s just about who’s in the middle of the spotlight and who’s in the middle of the storyline.”

Russo went even further, accusing WWE’s creative process of deliberately placing Triple H in key moments to make him the focal point — even in segments that should be about the wrestlers.

“They inserted themselves right into the centerpiece—at MSG. But in the writers’ room, they’ll go, ‘But then when I come out, it’ll be the next piece. They’ll really believe it.’ But really, all they’re doing is putting themselves in there. But the new lead writer goes, ‘And then I got Triple H in the segment, so I really got over.’ You got worked, sister.”

And he didn’t stop there. Russo claimed even the talent involved would be aware of what was happening — suggesting the spotlight was being pulled away in real time: “You know, and Brock and Omos are smart enough to go, ‘This guy’s taking our spotlight anyway.’ Sticking his beak right in the middle of them—you could see it. He was sticking his beak right in the middle of it.”

The segment was meant to build tension heading into WrestleMania, with WWE clearly trying to keep Lesnar and Femi from getting physical before the big match. But Russo’s take flips that entirely — arguing the moment became more about who was standing in the middle of the ring than the feud itself.

With WrestleMania around the corner, this kind of criticism is only going to raise more questions about how these segments are being put together — and who they’re really meant to spotlight.

Do you agree with Vince Russo — did Triple H take attention away from Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi, or did his presence make the segment feel bigger? Drop your thoughts below and let us know.
