Truth about Tom Brady and Logan Paul’s feud… as outrageous blows go way below the belt

Logan Paul is ramping up his ‘feud’ with Tom Brady amid bombshell plans for the NFL legend to appear at a major WWE event, a source has told the Daily Mail.

Brady has become embroiled in a shocking beef with Paul ever since he mocked the wrestling superstar’s athletic ability during a guest appearance on his ‘Impaulsive’ podcast last month. Brady dismissed Paul’s athlete chops as ‘cute’ while claiming he lacks the toughness of football players.

In response, Paul argued that he could beat the majority of NFL athletes in a fight – a statement which has sparked fierce debate – before the pair further ignited their feud after both playing in last week’s Fanatics Flag Football Classic event.

‘I’d like to apologize to Tom Brady for applying so much pressure on you play after play after play that had you literally fearing for your life,’ the online personality said sarcastically in a video after the game.

Many have questioned how real Paul and Brady’s apparent disdain for one another is, instead rubbishing it as an attempt to generate attention.

According to an insider, they are only playing on the feud to promote a potential storyline that could see Brady appear at the WWE’s showpiece WrestleMania event – which is being held in Las Vegas – and disrupt Paul’s match on the night.

‘Tom and Logan are continuing their “feud” and kept it going during the game because the WWE is trying to get Tom to appear for WrestleMania and do something on the show,’ the source told the Daily Mail. ‘Not to wrestle, but to get physical in some way.

‘They want to make a viral moment and want Tom to cost Logan in whatever match he has on the show.

‘Discussions are continuing to make it all happen but they made sure to continue their beef, because if Tom and WWE make a deal, then they can use the flag football happening as a good backdrop for the story.’

The source added: ‘Since Tom is a part owner of the [Las Vegas] Raiders, it could be seen as Tom protecting his house, while someone he “hates” in Logan Paul is trying to make a name for himself in Tom’s stadium.’

Brady is also being urged by former New England Patriots teammate Rob Gronkowski to take a leaf out of his book and accept the WWE’s offer.

‘Gronk has done multiple appearances and matches at WrestleMania and he loves it, and he has told Tom on multiple occasions that he should do something with the company,’ the insider continued.

‘Everyone is trying to dial in a deal, and it might come at the last minute. It would be a nice surprise if they can all pull it off, Tom wants to do it, the WWE would love him there. They just have to figure out the right story, the right contract for him to show up and do something, but as of right now it is promising that Tom will be there.’

Brady has been keeping himself busy since retiring from the NFL in 2023. He recently wrapped up the second year of his decade-long, $375million contract with Fox after venturing into broadcasting for the league.

Shortly after joining Fox, he also became an NFL owner in highly controversial fashion. His deal to acquire a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders sparked uproar over what many argued was a conflict of interest amid his commentary role.

Brady now appears set to launch himself into a new sporting world at WrestleMania after being denied what would have been a stunning NFL comeback at the age of 48.

Earlier this week, the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers great sensationally confirmed that he has once again tried to unretire, almost three years after he brought the curtain down on his iconic career.

Brady, who acquired a minority stake in the Raiders in 2024, said NFL chiefs are not prepared to let him return due to his new role as an owner.

‘I actually have inquired (about a comeback), and they don’t like that idea very much,’ he said in an interview with CNBC. ‘So I am going to leave it at that.

‘We explored a lot of different things, and I’m very happily retired. Let me just say that, too.’

Brady didn’t clarify how recently he tried to make it back – his stake in the Raiders was approved in October 2024, so it could technically have been at any stage in the last 18 months.

His comments came just days after he rolled back the years in a high-profile flag football game with other NFL stars and new arch-nemesis Paul.

Nevertheless, the pre-game chatter between the pair may have distracted from the third squad in Saturday’s Flag Football Classic, Team USA, which won the event without a single NFL player in its ranks.

The American national team began by demolishing Paul’s Wildcats 39-14 and Brady’s Founders 43-16, before beating the Wildcats again, 24-14, in the final.

For his part, Brady did show some flashes of his former brilliance in Los Angeles. To start the second game, the 48-year-old shook off a pass rusher and then found receiver Stefon Diggs in the back corner of the end zone for his first points of the day. Then he found his longtime Patriots and Buccaneers teammate Rob Gronkowski on the ensuing two-point conversion.

However, our source added that there was a key takeaway from the tournament, including ‘the surprise from all the NFL players that they kept losing to the US team.’

‘They believed they were going to make a much better showing, but they reasoned it to themselves that at least they are in good hands for when the Olympics begin and that the Flag Football team might actually win the gold medal,’ the source said.

At one stage of the game, Brady enjoyed a light-hearted moment with Paul when he called his own version of the ‘Philly Special,’ catching a pass over the wrestler and jokingly flipping the ball into his chest.

Paul was also repeatedly penalized for his inability to understand the rules as well as his repetitive provocations – including when he ripped the sunglasses off an opponent’s face during a defeat by Team USA.

‘I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize for some of my actions in yesterday’s flag football game,’ Paul said in his sarcastic apology video. ‘First, I want to apologize to the United States flag football team for taking [Team USA star Housh] Douchette’s glasses off of his face and throwing them at the ground.

‘That happened because after he scored a touchdown, he kind of got in my grill and said to me, “Welcome to flag football,” which upset me because it’s comments like that that I just can’t tolerate.

‘Second, I’d like to apologize to Jalen Hurts for sacking you and later deflecting a pass that then got intercepted by my team, allowing us to score on the very next possession.

‘If you get traded or your contract gets cut down, now we know why, and it’s probably pretty embarrassing, so I am sorry.’

After apologizing to Brady, he added: ‘I understand you’re older, it’s not like you could go anywhere, and you got frustrated, which is why you threw the ball at me. And I want you to know that I forgive you for that, because that’s what real men do.’
