Two Kenya Cup fixtures that were initially postponed will now be played on 28 March 2026 following fresh deliberations by the league and fixtures committee.
The matches involving KU Blak Blad against Impala RFC and Nondescripts against MMUST RFC had earlier been delayed, prompting discussions within the competition structures on the most suitable date to stage them.
In a communication released after further consultations, the committee confirmed that the postponed clash between KU Blak Blad and Impala RFC will now take place on 28 March, bringing clarity to a fixture that had attracted significant debate.
The match was initially scheduled to be played at Kenyatta University Grounds but failed to kick off due to unplayable pitch, leading to a determination by the competition body. However, the decision to quickly reschedule the match less than 72 hours after the determination sparked uproar from the clubs involved.
Both clubs expressed concern that the ruling had been made too soon, arguing that there had not been adequate time for all issues surrounding the failed fixture to be fully addressed.
