The Clippers are now 6-20 and are in 14th place in the Western Conference, only a game and a half up on the New Orleans Pelicans for dead last in the conference.
The Clippers do not own their 2026 first-round pick so their potential top pick in the upcoming draft will go straight to the Oklahoma City Thunder, dating back to the Paul George trade.

The Clippers are not playing with the same type of intensity and passion that most teams in the West play with.
Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue was asked if the Clippers are soft and he did admit that the team is trying, but they need to be more scrappy out there.
“I don’t see us being soft, I think most of the time we’re trying.
“I think teams are faster than us, bigger than us. We gotta become even more scrappy.”

The Clippers could go full desperation mode and try to make another move, but it probably won’t save their season.
At this point, the Clippers might just have to cut their losses, surrender a top pick to the Thunder and blow things up.
The way they do that is to trade Kawhi Leonard, James Harden and maybe even Ivica Zubac to get some value back for those players.
The Clippers will then have significant cap flexibility in the future where they can completely start over.
