Longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan is super impressed with Movsar Evloev’s performance against Lerone Murphy.
This past Saturday, in the main event of UFC London, Evloev was game to stand and bang with knockout artist Murphy on enemy territory. The 32-year-old Russian fighter had consistent output, landed the bigger shots to piece the Brit’s face up, and scored multiple takedowns, which was enough to snatch Murphy’s undefeated record.
After five rounds of non-stop back and forth, Evloev, who ended the fight on a high note, earned a majority decision win.
Although many in the MMA community are unhappy with how the judges scored the contest and believe “The Miracle” should have won, Joe Rogan has praised Evloev for trying to deliver a slugfest instead of relying on a wrestling-heavy approach.
On his podcast, Rogan urged that the promotion to book Alexander Volkanovski vs. Movsar Evloev for June 14 and “spice up” the UFC Freedom 250 card:
“Evloev was very impressive. The fact that he was able to stand with [Murphy] was very impressive… I hope the UFC doesn’t f**k him again… White House Lawn, let’s go. Give the man a couple of months off. We are only in March. It’s in June. Common. Spice that card up, baby.”

Lerone Murphy Reacts after UFC London loss: “Make sure Movsar Evloev gets the title shot”
After Movsar Evloev’s majority decision win over Lerone Murphy at UFC London, “The Miracle” showed class in defeat and urged the UFC to give Evloev the next title shot.

Meanwhile, Evloev, after proving once again why he’s the number one featherweight contender, wasted no time in calling out champion Alexander Volkanovski:
“Alex [Volkanovski] gently mentioned my name a lot of times, and I am accepting his challenge. Let’s f**king fight. UFC, there are no excuses for not letting me fight for the title. I have nothing to say.”

Dana White has not confirmed if Evloev will be the next featherweight title challenger. During the post-fight presser, the UFC CEO said:
“Possibly, yeah. I’m not even thinking about that; the fight just ended. But yeah [Evloev] is in a great position.”
