The event features the return of former two-time flyweight champion and hometown hero Brandon Moreno as he faces rising prospect Lone’er Kavanagh, 26, (9-1) in the five-round main event.
Brandon Moreno, 32, (23-9-2), looks to rebound in front of his home fans after a recent TKO loss in December. He was originally set to face Asu Almabayev, but Kavanagh stepped in as a short-notice replacement.
Moreno holds a significant experience edge with 34 pro fights and multiple title reigns, while the 26-year-old Kavanagh is entering just his fourth UFC bout.
Analysts suggest Moreno’s path to victory lies in his superior ground game and veteran craftiness, whereas Kavanagh offers high-level accuracy and power that could trouble the former champ on the feet.
