The Octagon returned to the Apex for tonight’s UFC Vegas 113 event, and four fighters wound up taking home performance bonuses.
The fight card was headlined by a key men’s bantamweight matchup between Mario Bautista and Vinicius Oliveira. The contest resulted in another impressive performance from Mario Bautista. The highly touted bantamweight contender was able to get the better of ‘Lok Dog’ right from the opening bell and continued to overwhelm him until securing a rear-naked choke finish late in Round 2. It was a dominant performance for the 32-year-old, who moves to 9-1 overall in his past 10 fights.
UFC Vegas 113 wa co-headlined by a high stakes men’s flyweight contest featuring Amir Albazi taking on Kyoji Horiguchi. The bout proved to be another solid showing for the Japanese legend, who easily outpointed Albazi on route to a unanimous decision victory.
Following the conclusion of tonight’s event, UFC officials announced at the post-fight press conference that 4 fighters would be taking home performance bonuses.
Fight of the night: Middleweight fighters Michal Oleksiejczuk and Marc-Andre Barriault each pocketed $100k for their thrilling war on tonight’s UFC Vegas 113 main card. Oleksiejczuk ultimately won the contest by unanimous decision.
Performance of the night: Jakub Wikłacz earned an extra $100k for his last second submission victory over Muin Gafurov on tonight’s preliminary card (see that here).
