After coming back to the longest format after the accident, this was Pant’s first century. The wicketkeeper-batter played a knock of 109 runs in 128 balls.
On the other hand, Shubman Gill remained unbeaten on 119 runs in 176 balls as India declared their innings on 287/4. With a huge lead of 514 runs, they proceeded to the second innings, After Bangladesh gave a decent start, Jasprit Bumrah got the opening breakthrough for Team India.
