The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, match no.13, was between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. RR beat MI by 27 runs in a rain-curtailed match. The RR vs MI match started at 10:10 PM IST. The rain curtailed the game, reduced to 11 overs per side. The power play was for 3.2 overs.
MI captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to field first. They made three changes, with the captain coming back after the illness, and Corbin Bosch made way for Trent Boult. Allah Ghazanfar also made a comeback in place of Mitchell Santner. It was an exceptional start from the young openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

Jaiswal smacked 22 runs off the first over from Deepak Chahar. The following over, the most anticipated battle of RR vs MI clash, was visible as Sooryavanshi hit the Jasprit Bumrah for a six of the first ball the Southpaw faced against the MI bowler. The second over went for 14 runs. In the next over, Trent Boult also went for 22 runs.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi had no intent to slow down as he smacked the first ball six to Shardul Thakur, who the former smacked a six of the first ball in the first game of the IPL. However, Thakur had the better of the young batter in the final ball of the over as Sooryavanshi was dismissed on the score of 39 runs.
80 runs were scored for the first wicket between the two RR openers. The phrase went true as one wicket brings another, as Dhruv Jurel was dismissed in the following over of Ghazanfar, as the Royals were reduced to 84/2. However, Jaiswal had no plans to slow down as he kept playing his shots and brought his fifty in 23 deliveries.
Ghazanfar ended Riyan Parag???s 20 off 10 balls innings. Jaiswal was unbeaten on the score of 77 off 32, and Shimron Hetmyer scored 6 off 7 balls, as RR finished off with the score of 150 in 11 overs.
Coming out to chase a target of 151, MI openers Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton were watchful; however, Rickelton was back in the pavilion after scoring 8 runs, with Jofra Archer coming back after getting hit for a six in the previous ball. From there, MI never came back as they kept on losing wickets.
Suryakumar Yadav, followed by Rohit Sharma, and then in the over of Ravi Bishnoi, captain Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma went back to the pavilion with the score being 46/5. Then Naman Dhir and Sherfane Rutherford tried to bring them back in the game. The latter was dismissed on the score of 25 off 8 balls.
Dhir was then back scoring 25 off 13 balls, as MI were reduced to 103/7, and MI could only score 123/9 in their 11 overs. RR won their third game in a row, and after the RR vs MI game, RR went top of the table with another dominant performance.
