VCARB Brings Garage Sessions to Melbourne with Hemley Skateboarding Collaboration

Visa Cash App Racing Bulls merges Formula 1, music, and street culture with Garage Sessions event ahead of the Australian Grand Prix.

VCARB returns to Melbourne’s music scene

Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One Team (VCARB) launched the first Garage Sessions event of the 2026 season in Melbourne, celebrating the intersection of motorsport, music, and street culture ahead of the Australian Grand Prix.

Held at the downtown venue HER, the event once again immersed the Formula 1 team in Melbourne’s vibrant creative scene. Following the success of last year’s edition, Garage Sessions continues to serve as a platform where racing culture meets emerging music talent through the team’s Creator Platform programme.

The evening featured performances from artists including Tigerlilly, Tobiahs and YNG Martyr, alongside emerging local acts and Creator Platform winners Orange Hat, DJ Agna and Rhys Rich. DJ sets and live performances spanned multiple genres, creating a high-energy atmosphere that attracted both Formula 1 fans and Melbourne’s wider creative community.

Motorsport meets Melbourne street culture

Alongside the music event, Visa Cash App Racing Bulls also unveiled a new collaboration with Hemley Skateboarding, one of Melbourne’s most established skate shops.

The partnership highlights the shared spirit of independence and creativity between motorsport and street culture. To celebrate Hemley’s 20th anniversary, Melbourne-based artist and skateboarder Glen Fox created a limited run of custom hand-painted skateboards and exclusive t-shirts. Fox will also design the team’s official race poster for the Australian Grand Prix week, continuing his distinctive abstract artistic style.

VCARB development driver Arvid Lindblad attended the event, signing several skateboards that will be given away in an online competition scheduled for next week.

A platform connecting racing, music and community

According to Peter Bayer, CEO of Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, Melbourne remains a natural home for the Garage Sessions concept.

“Melbourne holds a special place in our Garage Sessions journey. As a city renowned for its creativity and culture, it only felt right to return with a twist,” Bayer said.

“Opening the doors to our team and supporting local artists is at the core of our strategy. Partnering with Hemley Skateboarding allowed us to truly bring the intersection of motorsport and street culture to life, as we both share mindsets of creativity, community, and originality.”

Brand partners supporting the experience

Several partners helped bring the event to life. NEFT Vodka served as the evening’s exclusive vodka partner, while the collaborative merchandise featured HUGO t-shirts. Meanwhile, Student.com hosted a competition offering students the chance to win tickets to the event, expanding access to the unique Formula 1-inspired cultural experience.

With Garage Sessions continuing to evolve, Visa Cash App Racing Bulls is positioning the programme as a distinctive platform where Formula 1, music, art and youth culture intersect, creating new ways for fans to engage with the sport beyond the racetrack.
