Vince Russo isn’t holding anything back—again. During the February 3nd episode of Coach & Bro, the former WWE writer dropped a bold prediction about the future of Triple H’s role in WWE and tied it directly to what he believes is a growing fracture within The Rock’s inner circle.
While discussing the fallout from the 2026 Royal Rumble, Russo laid out his theory that WWE’s creative leadership—specifically Triple H—is facing major internal backlash. His evidence? Roman Reigns’ recent comments, The Rock’s daughter quitting WWE, and a behind-the-scenes power struggle that he says is already unfolding.
Russo pointed directly to Ava Raine’s quiet departure from the company, which reportedly followed the release of her girlfriend, Harlem Bravado, just a week earlier. He didn’t mince words about what that all meant:
“Let’s piggyback that with this. The Rock’s daughter quitting the company. Let’s piggyback that with this. Prior to the Rock’s daughter quitting the company, one of the things I’m reading is Rock’s daughter’s girlfriend was released from the company a week earlier. Now, we don’t know if that had anything to do with her leaving, but that is an extension of The Rock… Roman Reigns is an extension of The Rock, guys.”
Russo then made his prediction crystal clear:
“I made this statement online after that debacle called the Royal Rumble the other day. Coach, I’m going to go out on the limb and say this. January 1st, 2027, Triple H will not be in the same role he’s currently in. I am 1,000% convinced of that.”
To Russo, this isn’t just about backstage politics—it’s a brewing war. He believes the cracks are already showing, and this isn’t speculation anymore. It’s a warning shot coming from what he calls “the other side”—Roman, The Rock, and now Ava.
“Now we are starting to see it. They are turning on him. Everything you and I were seeing a year ago, everybody’s starting to see now. And when you got Reigns, The Rock, The Rock’s daughter — that’s the other side. That is the other side making a statement.”
Russo’s view paints a picture of a WWE future that might look very different in just 11 months. And if the Rumble’s negative reception was any indication, he’s not alone in thinking something is off.
