Virat Kohli shells out INR 6 crore for a luxurious villa in Alibaug

According to reports, Indian batsman Virat Kohli has acquired a lavish villa in Awas Village, Alibaug. As the 34-year-old is presently on national duty in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy, his brother Vikas completed the necessary procedures on his behalf.

The 2,000 sq ft villa in Avas Living was acquired by Kohli for a lavish sum of Rs 6 crore, with an additional payment of Rs 36 lakh as stamp duty solely for the property. The villa is equipped with a 400 sq ft swimming pool, and its interiors have been designed by Suzanne Khan, the daughter of Bollywood actor Sanjay Khan.

According to the report, Alibaug has an average land price ranging from ₹3000 to ₹3,500 per sq ft, and it is a preferred weekend destination for the affluent class.

In September of last year, Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma acquired a farmhouse in Alibaug for a staggering amount of Rs 19.24 crore. It has been reported that Kohli paid a stamp duty of Rs 1.15 crore for the property.

In addition to Kohli, Rohit Sharma, the current captain of the Indian cricket team, has also made an investment in Alibaug. Last year, Sharma purchased four acres of land in Mhatroli village.
