Virat Kohli told to retire by fans on social media due to abysmal Test form

Indian star player Virat Kohli’s batting woes in red-ball cricket continued in the Men in Blue’s first Test of the 3-match series against New Zealand in Bengaluru.

Rohit made the tough decision of batting first after winning the toss in overcast conditions on Day 2. This decision came back to hurt India as the top-order struggled and eventually lost their wickets against the fierce Kiwi bowlers.

The Indian skipper was cleaned up after scoring just 2 runs by the experienced Tim Southee before Kohli lost his wicket for a duck against young pacer Will O’Rourke.

This was Kohli’s 38th international duck which made him the Indian batter with the third-most international ducks. He also equaled Southee for the most ducks among active players.

Virat’s slump in Test form led to a meme fest on social media where fans badly trolled the 35-year-old for not even slightly improving his form especially in red-ball cricket.
