Indianapolis’ Matt Vogt rose to the top of a strong field at Elcona Country Club to capture the IGA Mid-Amateur Championship, posting steady rounds of 70–70 for a two-day total of 4-under-par 140. Vogt’s consistent play earned him a one-stroke victory. Close behind was defending champion, Cameron Luczka of Whitestown, who opened with a field-best 68 and stayed in contention with a final-round 73 to finish at 3-under 141.
Rounding out the top finishers were Tom Pechin of Goshen and Sean Rowen of Greenwood, who both finished tied for third at 147 (+3). A trio of players – Matt Windy of Elkhart, Brent McKnight of Granger, and Ben Thieman of Syracuse – shared fifth at 150 (+6).
