The Warriors have won the CSA T20 Challenge after clinching a thrilling Super Over victory at Boland Park.
Boland won the toss and elected to bat first.
The hosts struggled to keep the scoreboard ticking in the opening stages as the Warriors bowling attack was keeping it tight with some excellent bowling.Lehan Botha brought Boland back into the game with a crucial knock which steadied the ship and helped Boland post a competitive score.
Lehan Botha 51 (45) and Ferisco Adams 32 (24) were the standout batters.
Senuran Muthusamy 2-23 and Wesley Bedja 2-23 were the standout bowlers.
The Warriors, chasing 143, came out firing. Jordan Hermann and Tristan Stubbs were superb at the crease, batting with confidence and total control. However, Siyabonga Mahima brought the hosts back into the game after taking 3 incredible wickets.
The game went down to the wire.
With the game on the line, Ayabulela Gqamane delivered an extraordinary final over under immense pressure. He bowled four dot balls when the Warriors needed just 1 more run to win
In the super over Hermann and Stubbs set a target of 17 which was simply just too much for the hosts.
