Star Australian all-rounder Beau Webster is officially returning to Edgbaston for the 2026 season.
The 31-year-old, who made an instant impact after joining the Bears on a three-month deal earlier this year, has now signed on to represent the club from the start of the 2026 season through to the end of July.
Webster wasted no time making his presence felt. On debut, he smashed a composed 85 to guide Warwickshire to a comfortable five-wicket victory over Yorkshire at Headingley.
His form caught the eyes of selectors back home, earning him a call-up to Australia’s squad for the ICC World Test Championship Final at Lord’s in June. He delivered once again, top-scoring for the Baggy Greens with a gritty 72 against South Africa.

Following that, Webster featured in three more Tests during Australia’s tour of the West Indies before making a triumphant return to county cricket—blasting an unbeaten century in a derby win over Worcestershire.
During his short but stellar stint with Warwickshire, the Tasmanian all-rounder racked up 361 runs at an average of 45.12 and snared 16 wickets at 26.56—a genuine force with both bat and ball.
Although his appearances in 2025 were limited to red-ball action, Warwickshire are keen to unleash Webster in the white-ball format next season as well, with plans to feature him in the Bears’ limited-overs campaign.
First-team coach Ian Westwood was full of praise:
“Beau has been a dream overseas recruit. He’s a triple-threat player of top international calibre, and we can’t wait to have him back in April. This is fantastic news for the club and the squad.”
Webster himself is equally excited about the return:
“I’ve absolutely loved my time with the Bears in 2025. The teammates, coaching staff, and the world-class Edgbaston setup made it an easy decision to come back for 2026.”
With Webster locked in for another season, Warwickshire are building serious momentum heading into next year—and fans can’t wait to see what their Aussie powerhouse does next.
