Alden Pate is on a mad one in 2025 with a first place at the third round of the Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series, a first place at the first stop of the Triple Crown DH Series, and wrapping up his first year racing the UCI World Cup DH as an Elite. To round out the year, Pate also built a couple of trails and proceeded to destroy them on his Commencal Supreme DH and T.E.M.P.O., in a symphony of stimuli captured and edited by Aedan Skinner of Lazy Sunday Studios.
Lush ferns and moss-covered trees, with a ribbon of dark dirt cutting through the landscape, serve as the backdrop for this project, and Alden Pate beautifully navigates the setting with speed and style honed over years of racing enduro, downhill, and riding in the bike park.
Sit back, tune in, and enjoy.
“With racing, I find there isn’t a ton of creativity involved; it is just about getting down the track as quickly as possible. I think that the building and riding in this video gave me a place to be creative and put my ideas to life. I have always loved the idea of having two trails intersect, and I think it is unique to have each track cater to a different bike.
I find video creation to be a time when I can express myself. The whole process that goes into making videos is something that I am super stoked on! I am extremely passionate about getting people out riding, whether that is through racing or producing media. I hope this video gets people stoked and out
doing what they love.”
