India all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, who recently made a name for himself in the Border-Gavaskar series, was seen climbing stairs to Tirumala hilltop on his knees at the famous Sri Venkateswara temple.
The video of him climbing the stairs on his knees got shared on social media and went viral in no time. The 21-year-old also shared the video of the same on his official Instagram account.
Meanwhile, Nitish had a highly impressive debut Test series with India. The all-rounder scored his maiden international century in the Test match held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
The 21-year-old played a fantastic knock of 114 runs, which was witnessed first-hand by his father Mutyalu Reddy, who was sitting in the stands at the MCG. Nitish’s father couldn’t control his emotions and burst into tears as his son completed a landmark ton.
Nitish was also the second-highest run-scorer for India in the series against Australia, scoring 298 runs at an average of 37.25. On his return from Australia, the all-rounder received a hero’s welcome in Visakhapatnam. After coming out of the airport, Nitish received a big yellow garland from excited fans, who were waiting to get a glimpse of the cricketer.
