Rishabh Pant once again played some audacious shots despite coming out to bat with India having just lost Virat Kohli and looking in a spot of bother at 66/3.
Pant came in and once again showcased his fearless batting approach, hitting Scott Boland for a boundary on his very first ball.
However, it was a shot which he played later in his innings that took away all the spotlight. Facing Boland, Pant played an outrageous reverse-scoop for a boundary, leaving fans and commentators awestruck.
They couldn’t help but appreciate Pant’s batting approach despite India being put massively under pressure by the Aussies. Though Pant is known to play such T20esque shots in Test cricket, it is always fascinating to see him bat so fearlessly even in pressure situations.
The Indian wicketkeeper-batter ended the second day unbeaten on 28 runs off 25 deliveries, hitting 5 boundaries. The Men in Blue managed to score 128 runs in the final session but also lost 5 key wickets. They still trail by 29 runs and are clearly on the backfoot heading into the third day of the Adelaide Test.
