Cricket is accustomed to interruptions—rain delays, pitch invaders, sight screen issues, injuries, and equipment changes are all familiar occurrences in the game. However, a new disruption occurred during the second test between England and the West Indies at Trent Bridge, Nottingham.

In the second test match England posted 416 runs in their first innings with the help of Ben Duckett‘s aggressive knock of 71 off 59 and Ollie Pope’s balanced century. In response, West Indies batted strongly, courtesy of Kavem Hodge’s  maiden test century, which helped the visitors to post 457 in their first innings.

During the match, a ‘Unicorn balloon’ unexpectedly floated onto the field, prompting a brief pause in play.
