AEW Revolution 2026 kicked off with plenty of chaos on March 15 during the Zero Hour pre-show, and an unexpected moment involving Wayne Brady quickly grabbed attention before the main card even began.
The event is taking place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, and the pre-show opened with a tag team match between Boom & Doom (“Big Boom!” A.J. and QT Marshall) and Shane Taylor Promotions’ The Infantry (Capt. Shawn Dean and Carlie Bravo). As the action unfolded, the match quickly spilled outside the ring and tensions escalated around the ringside area.
During the brawl, members of Shane Taylor Promotions began interacting with personalities stationed at ringside, including Wayne Brady, who was positioned near the commentary area. As the confrontation intensified, Shane Taylor approached Brady and removed his hat while getting directly in his face in an aggressive manner. Brady did not back down from the situation and responded by taking off his sunglasses before slapping Taylor across the face.
The slap immediately escalated the situation. Taylor grabbed Brady by the shirt and pulled him toward the ringside area as the confrontation became more heated while the match continued nearby. The altercation drew the attention of others around ringside, including The Rizzler, who stepped in and confronted Taylor while trying to defend Brady. The situation continued to spiral until Taylor shoved The Rizzler, further adding to the chaos outside the ring.
The confrontation finally came to a halt when Justice intervened and speared Taylor on the outside, allowing the focus to shift back to the match. Inside the ring, Boom & Doom eventually regained control of the contest. Big Boom! A.J. delivered a Doomsday Device to Carlie Bravo to secure the victory and close out the chaotic opening match of the AEW Revolution Zero Hour pre-show.
Even though the match itself ended with Boom & Doom picking up the win, the ringside altercation involving Wayne Brady became one of the most memorable moments of the early portion of the show.
