Batting first, Brisbane Heat put up a strong total, scoring 175 for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Jemimah Rodrigues led the charge with a scintillating knock, amassing 61 runs off just 40 deliveries. Her innings, studded with seven fours and a six, came at an impressive strike rate of 152.50 and helped Brisbane establish a formidable target. Brisbane’s top and middle-order batters contributed effectively, keeping Adelaide’s bowlers under pressure throughout the innings.

In response, Adelaide Strikers put up a determined fight, finishing at 167 for 4 in their 20 overs. Middle-order batters Bridget Patterson and Madeline Penna played crucial roles, both scoring half-centuries and maintaining hopes of a successful chase until the last ball. Despite their valiant efforts, the Adelaide duo could not propel the team to victory as Brisbane’s bowlers held their nerve in the final overs to secure a win.
