Aduana FC attacker Emmanuel Marfo has disclosed the team’s ambition to push to clinch the MTN FA Cup trophy at the end of the season.
The forward starred for the team from Dormaa on Friday, scoring to seal a crucial 2-1 win for the side against Gold Stars in their Ghana Premier League Week 29.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Marfo emphasised the importance of the results, arguing that it will boost the team’s confidence heading into their MTN FA Cup semi-final showdown with Nations FC.
“I think in the first half we had a tough match, but when we went into the dressing room, the coach had a talk with us, and we were able to come back and change the game after we switched our tactics. This win is going to boost our confidence for the FA Cup,” Emmanuel Marfo said.
The forward believes that with just a few more games to end the season, Aduana FC must do everything to claim the FA Cup trophy to show appreciation to the fans.
“We don’t have any option than to win the FA Cup. The only option is to win the FA Cup for the supporters and the community. We are going to make sure we win the semi-finals,” Marfo added.
The FA Cup semi-final meeting between Aduana FC and Nations FC is scheduled for Friday, April 17, at the Swedru Sports Stadium.
