Conference play is less than 15 days away from fully kicking in and every non-conference game matters if the Atlantic 10 wants to have more than the automatic bid into the NCAA tournament in March. What that means is the teams that have Power 4 and Big East opponents should be aiming to keep the games close or to win those games. Some of the teams at the top have been doing their job, but others have not lived up to their expectations. This week the Atlantic 10 has eight games against Power 4 and Big East opponents and are hosting or have more of a homecourt advantage in all of them except one game. That is not including George Mason’s game hosting #25 Princeton at home. This week is crucial in keeping the hopes alive for a multi-bid A-10 alive, and could come back to haunt us in March.
