The West Indies have chosen the same team for the second cricket Test match against England, which begins on July 18, Thursday. In the first Test at Lord’s, England defeated the West Indies by an innings and 114 runs. This was also the final match for James Anderson before he retired.

Joshua da Silva, speaking at a meeting with reporters before the game, mentioned that the West Indies batsman wanted to prevent any easy ways of getting out during the match.
“We’re quite upset about how the first Test went. But we’ve moved past that, we’ve talked about it, and we’re excited for the second Test. We’re trying our best, working on our game, and pushing hard…for the next Test,” Silva explained.
“Clearly, when it comes to batting, some of us didn’t perform well. We had some easy ways of getting out,” Da Silva added.
“We need to remember the steps we take and have faith in those steps because everyone approaches things in their own unique way. It’s all about trusting our own strategy and ensuring we complete the task,” Da Silva said.
On July 17, England also revealed their lineup for the game, with Mark Wood joining the team in place of James Anderson.
